Bill Nelson gained an MA in Creative Writing from the IIML in 2009 where he was awarded the Biggs Poetry Prize. Bill was part of the project The Sparks Fly Upwards at City Gallery Wellington and in Against the Prevailing Winds, an exhibition for the Courtenay Place light boxes. He has collaborated with the Footnote Dance Company and is part of the small team behind Up Country: A Journal for the NZ Outdoors. His work has appeared in literary journals in New Zealand and the USA and as part of the Australia and New Zealand Festival of Literature in London. VUP are due to publish a book of Bill’s poetry in March 2016. He lives and works in Wellington.
