Emily Perkins is the author of five books, including Not Her Real Name, Novel About My Wife and The Forrests, and a recent adaptation of Hendrik Ibsen’s drama A Doll’s House for the Auckland Theatre Company. Her books have won awards in Aotearoa, the US and UK, and in 2011 she was made an Arts Laureate by the Arts Foundation of New Zealand. Emily lives in Wellington, where she convenes the MA in fiction writing at Victoria University’s International Institute of Modern Letters.
