Helen Reynold’s is a local writer and secretary-treasurer of the thriving of the Taumarunui Writing Group. She retired as the Ruapehu District Library Manager about 10 years ago, and has been taking the opportunity to study writing fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry extramurally with Massey University (her favourite was the poetry paper ‘Love, Loss and Looking Around’ with Dr Bryan Walpert.) Helen lived in Ohakune for about 12 years and attended Ruapehu College, where she was taught geography by Martin Edmond’s father, Trevor.
