Vana Manasiadis grew up in Wellington and has recently returned to live in Aotearoa/New Zealand after eight years in Greece. Her collection Ithaca Island Bay Leaves: a Mythistorima, which weaves the mythic into the every day, was published by Seraph Press in 2009, and she is now working on a sequel, The Grief Almanac. Her poetry has regularly appeared in literary journals such as JAAM, Sport, Takahē and Turbine. She lives in Auckland, where she teaches creative writing.
